Doctors at St. Joseph’s All Children’s Hospital initially believed that Asher might not survive. Rachel Lopez a family friend, recounted the harrowing experience, stating, “The doctors really were like there’s nothing else we can do. They kind of opened it up to where everybody could basically say goodbye to him.”
