In a series of unfortunate events, two Florida school principals found themselves in legal trouble after separate DUI-related traffic stops on the same night. The incidents, which occurred just hours apart, involved the same vehicle and raised concerns about the judgment of these educational leaders.
The first incident involved Jennifer Jimenez, 41, who was pulled over by Clermont Police Department officers around 2 a.m. on July 5. Officers reported that the white Jeep SUV driven by Jimenez drifted in and out of its lane, crossed into oncoming lanes multiple times, and even drove over a curb before the stop. Jimenez admitted to consuming alcohol and exhibited signs of impairment, including slow reactions and the odor of alcohol.
Initial Traffic Stop and Arrest
Bodycam footage released by the Clermont Police Department shows the officer questioning Jimenez about alcohol consumption. Jimenez confirmed she had been drinking. The officer noted her slow blinking and delayed reactions, leading to her arrest on charges of DUI and refusal to submit to DUI testing.
Christina Alcalde, 45, was a passenger in the vehicle during the initial stop. Alcalde, who also appeared impaired, was sent home in a rideshare while the Jeep was moved to a nearby parking lot. However, the situation took a turn when Alcalde was found driving the same vehicle just a few hours later.
Second Traffic Stop and Arrest
Around 5 a.m., less than three hours after the first incident, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report that Alcalde may have been behind the wheel again. Officers observed the vehicle drifting in its lane and braking repeatedly before an intersection. Alcalde told the deputy she was “way better” and was worried about Jimenez, who had been arrested earlier.
Bodycam footage shows Alcalde insisting she was not impaired, despite the deputy’s observations. Alcalde was arrested on DUI-related charges after field sobriety exercises. Both principals were booked into the Lake County Jail on DUI and refusal-to-submit charges, with bonds set at $2,000 each.

Alcalde is the principal at Pinecrest Lakes Academy, while Jimenez is the principal at Pinecrest Academy Tavares. Both schools operate under Pinecrest Academy Inc. The incidents have sparked concerns within the school community, with parents and staff questioning the leadership’s judgment.
