The warning is in effect from 11:00 AM EDT /10:00 AM CDT/ this morning to 8:00 PM EDT /7:00 PM CDT/ this evening, as issued by the National Weather Service (NWS).
This warning indicates that dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 116 are expected. Heat-related illnesses may increase significantly during this period, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
