A Severe Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Volusia County, Florida, until 10:30 PM EDT on August 22, 2026. The warning was issued by the National Weather Service in Melbourne.
The warning covers North Central Volusia County. At 7:32 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
A Flash Flood Warning indicates that flooding is imminent or occurring. Small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses, as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas, may experience flash flooding.
