The affected areas include Escambia Coastal, Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa Rosa Coastal, and Santa Rosa Inland.
A Flood Watch indicates that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Excessive runoff could result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.
To stay safe, monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued. In case of emergency, call 911. Follow guidance from the NWS and local authorities. Avoid low-lying areas and be ready to move to higher ground if necessary.
