The quiet streets of Coral Springs, Florida, were recently shaken by a disturbing case of alleged domestic abuse. A local man, identified as Daniel Edward Niemiec, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of domestic battery. The case, which unfolded over several weeks, has left the community in shock and raised concerns about domestic violence.

The saga began on June 2, when a relative of the victim reached out to the Coral Springs Police Department with a troubling tip. The relative claimed that Niemiec had physically abused his ex-girlfriend after their breakup. The victim, who had been vacationing in Florida and staying with Niemiec, reportedly called her relative in distress, stating that she had been hurt by her ex-boyfriend.

The Alleged Incidents

The first reported incident occurred during a sexual encounter between the couple. According to the victim, Niemiec slapped her in the face multiple times after she asked him to stop. The victim emphasized that the slapping was against her will and that she did not wish for the abuse to continue.

The situation escalated on June 30, when an argument between the couple turned physical. Niemiec allegedly approached the victim in the living room area and forcefully placed his hands around her throat. The victim reported that Niemiec laughed while choking her, and that the choking was non-consensual.

The Aftermath

After leaving the apartment and seeking refuge at a friend’s house in Margate, the victim returned the following day to retrieve her belongings. However, the encounter took a disturbing turn. Niemiec allegedly met her outside, dumped her belongings onto her, and then proceeded to dump the contents of her backpack over her. According to the victim, the backpack contained feces, urine, hot sauce, ketchup, and other unknown fluids.

The victim reported that the substances were deliberately dumped over her, making direct contact. Despite the traumatic experience, the victim declined medical treatment but appeared to be in fear and was physically shaking during the police encounter.

The Suspect’s Admission

Upon his arrest on Thursday, Niemiec admitted to the slapping incident, stating that it had gotten out of hand. He claimed that he was testing something new and did not know the limits of the situation. Niemiec also admitted to having anger issues and believed that the victim had cheated on him. He allegedly saw the defecation, urination, and filling of the backpack with various fluids as payback for her infidelity.

Niemiec is currently facing two counts of domestic battery and one count of domestic battery by strangulation. As of Wednesday morning, he was no longer listed as an inmate in the Broward County jail records.
